Cryptospordium analysis

Severn Trent Services can carry out Cryptosporidium analysis to regulatory and non-regulatory standards as required. To ensure our customers receive legally defensible results, we participate in a monthly External Quality Assurance scheme demonstrating excellent recovery levels from our expert analysts and microscopy results. Our UKAS accredited laboratory in Coventry is one of the largest facilities in Europe and licensed by the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI).

Testing is performed to the standard of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, which includes sampling, transport, analysis and reporting. We also provide an image capture services for all positive samples identified.

We can perform Cryptosporidium testing and water analysis on samples taken from potable water, rivers, water treatment works and gravel or sand sites.
