Equipment Hire

For customers wanting to manage their own monitoring, Severn Trent Services offer a range of Equipment for Hire. Suitable for soil and contaminated land monitoring, the equipment is managed and maintained by our qualified in-house team and is available on short or long-term hire.

All of our Noise and Vibration Equipment can be used as part of an environmental monitoring exercise on a site investigation. The equipment can also be used as part of a health and safety approved Noise and Vibration study within industrial processes. 

Our Type 1 Noise Analyser provides constant site monitoring which allows a time differentiation and data logging of the noise in decibels. The Type 1 Noise Analyser is installed with a Lower Explosive Limit detector for health and safety reasons and can provide the results as Frequency Domain Analysis or Time Domain Analysis allowing the data to be issued with a Time Weighted Average. 

We also offer a Type 2 Noise Analyser which provides a peak data point for your noise study. This tool is ideal for highlighting the loudest points on site but is not able to provide a time-weighted average.

A constant worry on contaminated land sites in a built up residential or industrial area is the potential seismic transmission of vibration to weak structures. The Vibrock V901 Seismograph (Dual Channel) can provide analysis in both Peak Particle Velocity (PPV) and Vibration Dose Value (VDV).  When conducting major piling and drilling investigations knowledge of this seismic activity can help drive key onsite decisions.
