ALS Environmental provide Bioburden testing of products and raw materials for microbiological analysis. The work is undertaken at our dedicated laboratory in Coventry where the samples are tested to the European and USP Pharmacopeia. Challenge testing can also be carried out under the British Standard requirements BS EN1276.

Our Coventry laboratory are able to provide analysis for a full range of pharmaceutical product types including wound dressings, alginate, creams, powders, nasal sprays, empty containers, packaging, process and purified waters and vitamin tablets.

We can provide microbiological analysis to produce Total Viable Counts at a number of temperatures for general bacteria and Yeasts/ Moulds. Our pharmaceuticals laboratory undertake analysis for pathogens, including:

• Pseudomonas aeruginosa
• Staphylococcus aureus
• E coli
• Salmonella

In accommodating your pharmaceutical specifications ALS Environmental can also determine Faecal Indicator micro organisms such as Total Coliforms, Clostridium and Enterococci.
