Under the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Severn Trent Services provide Bioburden testing of products and raw materials for microbiological analysis. The work is undertaken at our dedicated laboratory in Coventry and has been subject to audit by the MHRA. Samples and raw materials can also be tested to the European and USP Pharmacopeia and Challenge testing can be carried out under the British Standard requirements BS EN1276.

We are able to provide analysis for a full range of pharmaceutical product types including wound dressings, alginate, creams, powders, nasal sprays, empty containers, packaging, process and purified waters and vitamin tablets.

We can provide microbiological analysis to provide Total Viable Counts at a number of temperatures for general bacteria and Yeasts/ Molds. Additionally testing for pathogens can be carried out such as:

• Pseudomnas aeruginosa
• Staphylococcus aureus
• E coli
• Salmonella

We can also determine Faecal Indicator micro organisms such as Total Coliforms, Clostridium and Enterococci.
