The management and reduction of waste are important issues in today's society and Waste Management companies play a key role in classifying, reducing, recycling and handling waste material. 

Designed to meet the requirements of waste legislation for the UK and Ireland, Severn Trent Services have designed an extensive range of waste industry suites. These include analytical suites for classification against waste acceptance criteria, landfill leachates, groundwater and surface water suites and landfill gas monitoring.

Our dedicated laboratory has been designed to carry out the leaching methodologies for Waste Acceptance Criteria prescribed in the Landfill Directive. The leaching processes available include BSEN 12457 versions 1,2 & 3, Maximum availability, pH dependence, Tank test and NRA Interim leaching.




Landfill Gas Sampling

Our Equipment Hire department are able to provide a range of sampling tools to be used in the field to monitor for a range of potentially harmful compounds such as Hydrogen Cyanide, Hydrogen Sulphide and Carbon Monoxide. All gas monitoring equipment contains Data Logging systems and Lower Explosive Limit detectors: an important health and safety feature to be used for detecting the presence of Methane.
