In providing environmental research, Severn Trent Services is one of the UK’s leading laboratories in identifying and assessing environmental pollutants.
Severn Trent Services can offer our customers a total solutions package for EDC analysis. With a significant background in the development and application of analytical methods to determine EDC’s in the aquatic environment. We use state of the art analytical equipment at our research and development laboratory allowing us to determine a wide range of EDC’s at ultra low concentrations.
We are able to determine steroid oestrogens in sewage influent, effluent and sludge, surface and potable waters, sediments and soils. Oeastrogenic activity is measured using in vitro yeast oestrogen (YES) assay.
We have also implemented a UKAS accredited method to provide early detection of Metaldehyde in raw and potential waters, allowing us to determine and investigate this harmful substance effecting the environment.
For customers involved in the UK Water Industry Chemical Investigation Programme (CIP), Severn Trent Services provide analysis to some of the UK’s leading Water companies. The programme has been introduced to support the UK’s understanding of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and it’s potential impact with respect to the control of hazardous substances.
